Silliness

Sometimes my kids just crack me up. This is how I found Katy's bear while straightening up before vacuuming today. Yes, those are fuzzy gloves on his little feet. Not sure why they're there. Maybe he was cold? Maybe she wanted him to have shoes and couldn't find a pair that fit? Or maybe she just stuck them on because they were there. She's at school so I can't ask her, but it made me smile when I found him--it's just so Katy.

Hi, Anne - I just wanted to thank you for the nice comment on my blog and to say that I'm glad you passed my information along to your friend. I can honestly say that you are the first person I know (I say that loosely, since I don't really know you - although I did meet you at the baby shower for Ally a few years ago!) who knows someone else with a balanced translocation. It's such a random thing, and certainly not a term you hear much in casual conversation. I will be happy to talk with her and also learn about her adoption story. I've checked out your blog in the past, too, and I love your idea for daily posts and photos. I imagine it's a great memory book for this time with your kids. Thanks again!
