Patience & Dexterixy

When I first saw heat and set perler beads, Ryan was about 4 years old. I thought they looked like a great way to improve manual dexterity, and they truly are. However they were a bit too tedious for him to do for any length of time. The girls have recently become more interested in playing with these beads and will spend a fair amount of time making designs and patterns out of these little bits of plastic. This weekend, Ryan, Samantha & Cameron got in on the fun and really made some interesting and intricate designs. You've got to love anything that will keep kids so engaged for such a long time, even if it does pose a threat for a monumental mess...
