Rain, Rain, Don't Go Away

We have been in a drought situation in western North Carolina for almost 2 years now. Our surface water levels have improved alot in the past year, but our ground water is still nearly 8 inches below what it should be. This week we've had nearly 2 inches of rain so far, with another 2 inches expected over the coming weekend. Some people are complaining about the dreary, gray weather, but I am enjoying it. You can already see the plants turning greener each day. Even with all this water, we'll still be at a deficit, so bring on the rain!
