Thankful for Thanksgiving Skits

Parents were invited into the first grade classes today for a short Thanksgiving skit. I had the pleasure of going to two! The students each were assigned one or two letters of the alphabet, and each letter stood for something about the first Thanksgiving. Each student got to stand and read their letter's fact, and after reading the feather was added to a turkey body until the entire turkey was full. Students were allowed to choose whether to be pilgrims or indians (I mean, Native Americans), and I found it interesting that I ended up with one of each.
