Spring's Harbingers

Last night we had rain for several hours. There was a total racket outside this morning, and I looked to see what could be making so much noise. There were approximately 25 robins all over our yard and more in the trees and neighbors' yards. They were having a worm feast!

No robins yet, but our driveway was covered with them Friday eve. after first leg of 4 days of predicted rain. So far, about 3" which would have been another 3' if colder. Still have some hills of snow along some roads & in pkg. lots; I am ready for spring this year. My Lenten roses were blooming under the snow/ice...Love and miss you, Mom
