At the beginning of the baseball season, Ryan was eager to learn the proper way to slide. This is the first year that the kids have been allowed to slide in baseball (also the first year that the kids are pitching). At this age, a few runs are scored by hits, but the majority are through walks and then stolen bases. Kevin has the pitchers and catchers regularly practice how to properly cover home plate when there's a runner on third, and they've gotten a few daring runners out throughout the season. But Ryan is speedy quick, and a very good slider, and he often steals home with no problem!
