I love the contrast of these ultra-girly, bling-rich flip flops with my daughter's dirty little feet with the ankles still showing new skin resulting from some type of nasty scrape.

Katy has my toes, but I never had so many scrapes and scars (mertholate stings too much)- didn't have flip-flops in the olden days - we wore socks and "tennis shoes" for play, then tossed the socks for the "bare" look cause "bobbysocks" did nothing for the legs... Then came Dr. Scholl's, and then flip flops for the beach/showers. Then came crocs and now they are making them more sturdy for kids. Time changes all things. Love, Mom
A friend of mine has two children who have been diagnosed with Battens Disease, a genetic terminal illness. In an effort to help her raise awareness as well as funding for medical research, I have included a link to the Battens website. Please check it out and consider getting involved in any way that you can.
Welcome to my Little Piece of the Web
I'm a wife, and a mom, and a daughter, and a sister, and a friend. I am also a Christian, a political conservative, and a Leo. Guess that makes me pretty opinionated and not afraid to broadcast those opinons! I love to scrapbook and read and cook, and I'm currently participating in "Project 365" - a picture a day for an entire a year - and am sharing those pictures on my blog. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have been!
